First of all, I apologies for using the above headline but at the same time I do feel that the above represents allot of feelings. Having a controversial match is always a good thing, having a cartoonish one isn't.
When the said match was announced, everyone started speculating and even questioning CM Punk's ability's against a former UFC heavyweight champion. Size difference aside, how can this man possible defeat a Mix Martial art giant? A prefight promo hinted that weapons will be the primary focus of the match. Everyone, and I mean everyone was speculating and then the date came.
Spoilers
The match started with Lesnar garbing punk and throwing him around for a few seconds and then... well, that was it. Aside from a few brutal strikes, Punk DOMINATED Lesnar. Yes, you read it right. For every Lesnar strike, Punk give ten. Not only that, Punk was getting up like nothing had happened. Lesnar was dominated so badly throwing away any realism or logic in the most stupid way possible.
I know that this is the WWE but common. Lesnar needing outside help from his manager to defeat Punk?
Anyone watching the match quickly realized that Punk have beaten Lesnar many times if not for the outside interference to save Lesnar at the last second. This is not a CM Punk hate post, not even a WWE bash but a simple thought of any one watching the show.
The way it should have ended
The match starts, Lesnar throws the straggling punk a few times, Punk tries to fight back, F5, 123.
Now I do realize that the above may not be perfect, especially for the most awaited match but would open up more possibility for a rematch with another ending. Any way, what happened happened and it did cost Lesnar his unstoppable persona now that he was dominated in such a bad way.
The only good news is that, well Lesnar won with the help of outside interference of course and that Punk cannot use that as an excuse cause most of his tittle matches ended the same.
Personal opinion out, feel free to comment.
